The Georgia Revolution's Mark Lavery Signs Pro Deal With the Atlanta Silverbacks
Mark Lavery, an integral member of the Georgia Revolution’s Southeast Conference East Division Championship season of 2012 has signed a professional contract with the Atlanta Silverbacks of the North American Soccer League (NASL).
"We are excited for Mark and know he will do a good job at the next level. Although we will certainly miss him, we are so proud that he has signed a pro contract. We hope that this is a trend that continues for years to come as players can use the Georgia Revolution as a platform to launch their soccer careers." said General Manager, Rafe Mauran. Wolves Elite Player ID Camp
The Wolves North American Academy and its partner club, Rockdale Youth Soccer are hosting an Elite Player ID Camp this June 11th, for players ages 7 to 18! The camp will be overseen by coaches from the Wolves North America Academy. Players excelling at this camp will be invited to the Wolves North American Academy National Residential Camp. U13 Lady Revs Challenger Cup Finalist in Charleston, SC
RYSA U13 Girls found themselves in another championship game this past weekend. They traveled to Charleston, SC and competed in the Challenger Cup on James Island. In round robin play, the girls outscored their opponents 8-1 but fell in a tough championship match 0-1. After the tournament Coach Scott Redding stated “The girls played well this weekend, and we are looking to build off of our recent success heading into the Presidents Cup. These girls have improved a great deal over the last year and are looking forward to more success in the future.”
Congratulations to RYSA's U12 Boys-The Open Cup Champions
The RYSA Revolution U12 Boys traveled to Decatur, Alabama on April 13th and 14th to compete in The Open Cup – Gold Division. With a 5 to 1 victory over the Gulf Coast Texans from Florida; a 5 to 2 victory over Evansville SC from Indiana; a 3 to 1 semi-final victory over PSA River Plate from Tennessee and a 3 to 2 final overtime victory over MFC Fire Rankin from Mississippi they emerged as Champions.
U8 Destroyers Win Cherokee Impact Rec Shootout
The U8 RYSA Destroyers 13 coached by Kelly Shirah and assistant coaches Jammie loggins and Winston Ferguson won the Cherokee Impact Rec Shootout 4th division on May 4th and 5th. The Destroyers went 3-1 winning the championship game by penalty shooutout 5-2. Congratulations!
