Goalkeeper Summer Camp

Charlotte McCormack, RYSA's Director of Goalkeeping, is hosting a Goalkeeper Summer Camp on Tuesday evenings.

Each session will have a different focus with every session incorporating basic handling, footwork and goalkeeper conditioning.

Session topics include:

  • Reaction training
  • Crosses/Back-to-Bar
  • Extension and Power Diving
  • One v Ones/ Breakaways
  • Distribution
  • Game Play/ Decision making

The clinic is open to all RYSA goalkeepers, boys and girls, all ages.

Dates; June 21st, June 28th, July 5th, July 12th, July 19th, July 21st (note: the last session is a Thursday to avoid conflict with preseason camp the following week)
5:30-6:45pm - younger and/or beginners
6:45-8:00pm - older and/or advanced


Cost: $85 for all six sessions or $20 per session

As a collegiate goalkeeper, Charlotte understands the need for consistent and frequent goalkeeper specific training and is excited to be begin getting our goalkeepers the attention they require.

Summer Finishing Series

Finishing Series 2016 (Ages 9 and up)

Dates: June 6th, June 8th, June 15th, June 22nd June 29th, July 6th, July 13th and July 20th

Times: 7:00pm-8:30pm

Cost: $85 for entire series or $15 per session

Want to score more goals next season?!! Come to RYSA’s Finishing Series over the summer.

Players will be exposed to a variety of ways to score goals: breakaways, headers, volleys, penalty kicks, toe pokes, shots on the turn, one touch finishing, patterns to goal and finishing in traffic.

**NEW **Players will be instructed in the use of the correct technique and then given the opportunity to perform activities in a game like situations in our nightly 3 v 3 games.

Who is the camp for?

  • Players serious about improving regardless of position. Players at every position need to be able to strike a soccer ball.

The Revolution Girl Power Performance Camp

The Revolution Girl Power Performance Camp is a female specific fitness and soccer skill development program designed to enhance performance and injury prevention of female athletes by increasing mobility, building power, increasing endurance while maximizing speed and agility. All activities are designed to relate to the demands of the game with and without the ball. 

Camp Details

When:               Mondays and Thursdays starting June 9th and continuing until July 21st (no training July 4th

Where:              RYSA Soccerplex

Time:                10:00am – 1:00pm

Who:                 Girls ages 13 thru 20 years old

Cost:                 $140.00 (includes T-Shirt)

What to bring:   Ball, water bottle, towel, sunblock, cleats and running shoes


Typical Daily Schedule

Session 1               30 minutes            Warm-up and functional movement training
                             10 minutes            Fun touches (goofy soccer games!)
                               5 minutes            Water and Rest break

Session 2               40 minutes            CrossFit Strength, Endurance and Power Training
                               5 minutes            Water and Rest break

Session 3               35 minutes            With Ball technical training/Keeper training
                               5 minutes            Water and Rest break

Session 4               30 minutes            Female athlete nutritional and emotional wellbeing seminar

Session 5               20 minutes            Play the game
                             10 minutes            Cool down and debrief
