Summer Finishing Series

Finishing Series 2016 (Ages 9 and up)

Dates: June 6th, June 8th, June 15th, June 22nd June 29th, July 6th, July 13th and July 20th

Times: 7pm-8:30pm

Cost: $85 for entire series or $15 per session

Players will be exposed to a variety of ways to score goals: breakaways, headers, volleys, penalty kicks, toe pokes, shots on the turn, one touch finishing, patterns to goal and finishing in traffic.

**NEW **Players will be instructed in the use of the correct technique and then given the opportunity to perform activities in a game like situations in our nightly 3 v 3 games.

Who is the camp for?

  • Players serious about improving regardless of position. Players at every position need to be able to strike a soccer ball.

The Revolution Girl Power Performance Camp

The Revolution Girl Power Performance Camp is a female specific fitness and soccer skill development program designed to enhance performance and injury prevention of female athletes by increasing mobility, building power, increasing endurance while maximizing speed and agility. All activities are designed to relate to the demands of the game with and without the ball. 

Ryan Pye, certified CrossFit trainer, Reggie Wilcox, certified functional movement expert, and Nancy Jones, Beach Body Design and national level triathlete have developed a fitness program designed to master the physical and mental skills needed to maximize performance and prevent injuries. 

Harry Kustick, Director of Coaching for the Georgia Revolution women’s program and Ashlynne Bass, Technical Director of the Georgia Revolution women’s program and Charlotte McCormick, Irish National team and Clayton State University goalkeeper have constructed a technical program that will relate fitness with technical ability with the ball.

The program will also include seminars related to nutritional and emotional health issues for female athletes which parents are welcomed attend with their daughters.

Camp Details

When:               Mondays and Thursdays starting June 9th and continuing until July 21st (no training July 4th

Where:              RYSA Soccerplex

Time:                10:00am – 1:00pm

Who:                 Girls ages 13 thru 20 years old

Cost:                 $140.00 (includes T-Shirt)

What to bring:   Ball, water bottle, towel, sunblock, cleats and running shoes


Typical Daily Schedule

Session 1               30 minutes            Warm-up and functional movement training
                             10 minutes            Fun touches (goofy soccer games!)
                               5 minutes            Water and Rest break

Session 2               40 minutes            CrossFit Strength, Endurance and Power Training
                               5 minutes            Water and Rest break

Session 3               35 minutes            With Ball technical training/Keeper training
                               5 minutes            Water and Rest break

Session 4               30 minutes            Female athlete nutritional and emotional wellbeing seminar

Session 5               20 minutes            Play the game
                             10 minutes            Cool down and debrief

Girl Power Team Training

The Georgia Revolution is offering a Girl Power team training camp to provide an opportunity for older female players to train and play matches during the summer.  This does not require participation in a league or purchase of uniforms.

Dates:         June 13th through July 15th

Who:          U17 and older players

Days:          Evening Sessions       Tuesday and Thursday

                   Morning Sessions       Monday and Thursday

Time:          Evening                     7:00 – 8:45 p.m.

                   Morning                   10:00 – 1:00 p.m.

Location:    Georgia Revolution RYSA Complex
                  1780 Old Salem Road, Conyers, GA 30013



Morning training will focus on fitness, strength, agility and endurance along with technical skill development.  There will also be seminars regarding nutrition, wellbeing and other issues related to female athletes. See the Girl power Performance Camp description for further information.

Evening sessions will involve tactical functional and team tactical training focused on the needs of senior level players who are college bound or in college.
